 Other Government and Public Sector

No area of the printer industry demands finer attention to total cost of ownership than the public sector. TallyGenicom has an unparalleled record of over 30 years as a successful supplier into governmental organisations in the UK and across the world for robust printing solutions.

Central Government
Many next step agencies rely on TallyGenicom products for mission critical printing, including HM Customs and Excise with the revolutionary new T3116 Sprintjet technology.

Emergency Services
Our own field service and support teams perform a critical role in supporting TallyGenicom products in this area, a fact appreciated by both Thames Valley Police and Northumbria Police in their choice of supplier.

Local Government
From secure cheque printing on the T3116 Sprintjet, to dot matrix listings and colour laser business reports, TallyGenicom offers the broadest range of printer technologies from any one single manufacturer.

Ministry of Defence
All 3 armed services are long-time users of TallyGenicom equipment. Line printers help control the logistics flow of material from Army and RAF stores to bases around the world. We are particularly proud that our ruggedised mono laser printers are equipped now in most Royal Navy warships and land bases.

NHS
From patient records printed on mono lasers, to near silent volume printing on the T3116 Sprintjet, TallyGenicom printers offer hospitals, G.P. practices and other healthcare agencies heavy-duty printing solutions at low cost of ownership. One such site is Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey, a TallyGenicom customer for many years.

 Banking and Finance

TallyGenicom printers have a long heritage in the financial markets. In recent years the T5023 passbook printer has become the market leading on-demand counter printer for this application. Cheshire Building Society for example ordered 250 of these machines last year to give robust, error-free customer passbook handling.

In the UK and Europe TallyGenicom now sees success with its colour laser printers into busy banking and dealing room applications where colour reports are becoming more critical. The market in developing countries like India and South Africa is still dominated by robust TallyGenicom line printers producing single-part listing reports.

 Business and Professional Services

More and more companies with local networks are realising that the existing mix of mono lasers and colour inkjet printers is proving expensive to run in terms of consumables and servicing costs.

Many companies are now seeing the benefits of switching to networked colour lasers, like the T8006e, to produce on demand colour as well as mono correspondence printing with significant savings in terms of total cost of ownership.

The introduction of the T8024, the fastest office colour desktop laser, further increases the cost saving benefits of networking a fewer number of T8024s to replace a far larger number of mono lasers and colour inkjets.

 Construction and Property

TallyGenicom dot matrix and line printers can be found working hard in many major infrastructure projects worldwide. The durable nature of these products makes them ideal for the demanding world of large construction projects. Recently our A3 colour lasers, T8406, and T8406Plus with their true Adobe postscript capabilities are also found in the design offices of the construction world.

In the estate agent community colour lasers are becoming more common to produce on-demand brochures of properties from digital camera images - particularly in the larger chain of estate agents and property services companies.

 Engineering and Manufacturing

Our strength in this market stems from our unparalleled heritage in mission critical printing applications. TallyGenicom impact products can be found in Germany in nearly all major car manufacturers - BMW, Mercedes Benz, VW / Audi and Opel - as well as in many General Motors factories throughout USA and the rest of the world.

Such printers are often used to produce barcode runs, identical graphics labels, ODAT labels and other manufacturing process applications, often working in SAP, IBM and many legacy system environments.

Within the UK engineering "point-of-sale" environment our printers - both T2265 dot matrix and T9220 mono lasers can be found in the demanding environments of Autoglass' workshops for on-demand car window repairs.

 Health and Pharmaceutical

The flow of healthcare products to many local hospitals and pharmacies throughout the UK is dependent on TallyGenicom's impact products producing huge volumes of barcodes, delivery labels and invoices on a continual and reliable basis. Our colour lasers are also increasingly popular in pharmaceutical laboratories and clinics where perfect colour matching is critical for many applications.

 Leisure

Many dot matrix printers can be found in hotel check-out areas - still the cheapest way to print a hotel bill, one-tenth of the cost per copy compared to laser and one-twentieth compared to a desktop inkjet. However TallyGenicom's range of mono lasers gives front desk applications the choice of migrating to a quieter technology with better print quality if this is a requirement.

The revolutionary new T3010 Sprintjet enables the best of both worlds in leisure-based "point-of-sale" situations - the speed of printing and robustness of a matrix printer, coupled with near-laser print quality for that hotel bill or invoice. Colour lasers are frequently found in hotels, sports and leisure clubs as a cost-effective way of producing short-run notices or posters - check out the T8006e or T8406.

 Retail and Consumer Goods

TallyGenicom brings you your daily bread in more ways than one!

With Allied Bakeries TallyGenicom developed a special version of its T2130 matrix printer to work successfully in bread delivery vans. At Tesco, the UK's biggest supermarket, T6100 and T6215 line printers are the backbone of the company's delivery and logistics networks. The 160 line printers located at Tesco's 20 distribution centres ensure accurate labelling of packages and consignments to make sure goods reach the correct store in the shortest possible time.

In a more 'front-office' application, TallyGenicom has installed over 400 T8006 colour lasers into the 200 MFI stores throughout the UK. This enables customers to get a colour printout of their new kitchen and furniture designs prior to purchase.

 Technology and Communications

For many years TallyGenicom has been a significant supplier of impact and laser technology within the I.T. community, and its products are often bundled as part as a 'turnkey' system solution from many computer services companies. For global system providers like Siemens, EDS, Fujitsu-ICL, Unisys and NCR, to local UK specialist PC and system manufacturers like Centerprise, Elonex, Kerridge, Akhter and Hi-Grade Computers. TallyGenicom products - backed up by our own service and support team - have a consistently high reputation.

Many telecommunication companies across the world use our mono and colour lasers for office applications, as well as matrix, line and Sprintjet printers for call-logging applications.

 Transport and Distribution

Numerous other companies across the world rely on robust, quick and high-quality printers from TallyGenicom to ensure the smooth movements of goods and services in the global economy.
