T5023 passbook printers
Introduction
Stroud & Swindon Building Society has a network of 28 branches located across Southern and South East England.
Product Requirements
Its existing installation of Tally T5025 passbook printers were falling short of its stringent quality control standards. After investigating alternatives, they were replaced by 80 new T5023's.
Application
The printing of account passbooks at branch level is an important aspect of its business and after much investigation Tally's recently introduced T5023 proved to be the ideal replacement for their existing Tally model. All units were preconfigured by Tally prior to dispatch to ensure total compatibility with the existing software and network and provided a total "out-of-the-box" solution.
Quotes
"Several big improvements had been made in the T5023 including the addition of a floating flatbed and new sensors that shift all passbooks to a fixed right edge rather than centring them. This means we can now process both single and multipage passbooks without any likelihood of skewing or possible misfeed. The T5023 also provides greater flexibility
in typeface choice and the new ribbons achieve exceptionally consistent ink transfer. Since installing them the quality control problems have now been completely overcome and we anticipate that this will continue to be the case," explained Heather Flewelling, the User Support Team Leader at Stroud & Swindon Building Society.
Commenting on the contract, Gary Hunter, Tally's UK Sales and Marketing Manager added: "We have already won several significant contracts in the financial and banking sectors, both in the UK and overseas with the T5023 which is proving itself a solid performer in this sector."
